3 years program Entry level Upper secondary school diploma Vocational secondary education level 4, with subjects Biology, Chemistry and Science
2,5-2 years program entry level Bachelor degree nursing Diploma nursing Students have to make a written test were theoretical knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Mathematics, Science and Chemistry are assessed. Depending on the score a student follows a 3, 2,5 or 2 years program.

First school year 50% class and 50% clinical practice
- Professional Competence, practice & methods 1 (MB1) 112 hours Objective The student arrange, under supervision basic nursing care of a patient who needs surgery. - Anatomy & Physiology 100 hours Objective The student can explain basic principles of anatomy and physiology and can integrate knowledge in clinical practice - Science, Chemistry and Techniques 48 hours Objective The student can explain basic principles of science, chemistry and techniques and can integrate knowledge in clinical practice - Communication and cooperation 24 hours Objective The student can act like a professional in healthcare. - Self-managing skills 40 hours Objective The student can manage his learning process in a project-team - Medical mathematics 64 hours Objective The student can explain basic principles of medical mathematics and apply these principles in science, mathematics and techniques and can integrate knowledge in nursing care - Clinical experience ward and OR, 8 weeks
Course titles and objectives 1st year second semester, 6 months
- Professional Competence, practice & methods 2 (MB2) 184 hours Objective The student arrange, under supervision, pre-, per- and postoperative anesthesiology care of a patient (ASA1) who undertake low complex surgery. - Pathology 92 hours Objective The student can explain basic principles of pathology and can integrate knowledge in clinical practice. - Pharmacology 32 hours Objective The student can explain basic principles of pharmacology and apply knowledge in clinical practice - Clinical experience OR, 12 weeks The student shows basic skills in anesthesia in pre- per and postoperative anesthesia.
Second year 20% theory and 80% clinical practice Objectives The student can assess, identify a problem, planning anesthesiology care, Implement anesthesiology care and evaluate anesthesiology care a patient with a disorder in one vital sign during pre- per and operative anesthesiology care. The student utilize professional communication skills

Third year 13% classroom and 87% clinical practice Objectives The student can assess, identify a problem, planning anesthesiology care, Implement anesthesiology care and evaluate anesthesiology care a patient with a disorder in more than one vital sign during pre- per and operative anesthesiology care. The student can do research on a subject what is related to his profession. The student can coordinate and organize an OR program during shifts. The student can coach a student during his training at the OR.
